Founder & Legacy
The firm's foundations are shaped by a legacy of national service, trust, and long-standing institutional relationships.
The founder of Nusantara Advisory Group rose to national prominence during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s as Indonesia's leading badminton player — representing the country at the highest level during a formative period of national identity and international engagement. Through sport, he developed enduring relationships across government, state institutions, and civil society.
Following his athletic career, he continued his public contribution through advisory and institutional roles, including close engagement with senior government stakeholders and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. As an Indonesian of Chinese descent, his career has been defined by bridge-building across communities, institutions, and interests — earning trust through consistency, integrity, and long-term commitment.
Today, that legacy continues through the firm's leadership. The founder serves as Chairman, supporting the next generation of leadership while remaining closely involved in strategic oversight. Together, they play a role in advising on some of Indonesia's most significant institutional and cross-border engagements.

Dr. Serian Wijatno, SE., MM., MH., is a senior professional with over three decades of experience bridging government, business, and public policy. He is widely recognized for his strong network across ministries, state-owned enterprises, the military, the national police, and the private sector, and for his role in advancing strategic partnerships and regulatory alignment. His background in government relations, legal advisory, and business strategy underpins a performance-driven approach across both public institutions and private enterprises.
Sean Mulhern
Director
Sean Mulhern is a government advisor and cross-border growth consultant with over a decade of experience building and scaling international businesses across Australia and Indonesia. As Head of International Business at the Moeldoko Centre, he works alongside one of Indonesia's most senior government figures to advance key national policy implementation. At Nusantara Advisory, Sean connects international business ambition with Indonesian government relationships — giving clients the access, insight, and strategic guidance needed to move with confidence in the market.
Tanja Winaya
Director
Tanja Winaya brings a rare combination of legal acumen, international relations expertise, and hands-on business leadership to Nusantara Advisory. Her career spans the corporate, government, and non-profit sectors — from Managing Director of PT. Sukses Mega Kuningan, where she led operational strategy and forged key commercial partnerships, to International Relations Head at Partai Perindo, where she developed the ability to navigate complex institutional stakeholder environments. At Nusantara Advisory, Tanja works at the intersection of business strategy, governance, and international engagement — helping clients navigate the complexities of operating in and across the Indonesian market.
